# Bart van den Burg

> Hands-on fullstack engineer and Head of Engineering in Amsterdam. Builds production SaaS platforms from scratch, and the AI agent workflows that help teams ship them. Available 1–2 days a week for temporary or part-time assignments.

Seventeen years of turning ambitious ideas into production software, with a strong preference for simple systems and fewer moving parts. Works in English and Dutch (native); speaks Russian conversationally.

## Current role

- Salesbuildr, 2019 to now: Lead Developer (2019–2024), Head of Engineering since October 2024.
- Built the SaaS platform from scratch in Angular and NestJS on Azure, first alone and later as tech lead of 5 developers, 1 QA and 2 DevOps engineers.
- The platform is used by hundreds of MSPs and IT service providers across Europe, North America, Africa and APAC.
- Designed and built a cloud-based agent harness: an engineer comments on a Jira ticket, a cloud agent implements the change, runs linting, unit and E2E tests, pushes a branch, CI runs (CircleCI with Nx Cloud), and an isolated Azure Container Apps preview is ready for review.
- Leading a migration from Firestore + Elasticsearch to PostgreSQL to cut cost and complexity and improve reliability.

- Agentic software delivery: agent workflows that turn scoped tickets into reviewable, tested branches.
- Production SaaS architecture: multi-region, multi-tenant platforms with authentication and observability built in.
- Integrations and data: synchronisation across distributors, PSAs and CRMs (Autotask, ConnectWise, HubSpot, TD SYNNEX).
- DevOps, reliability and security: CI/CD, infrastructure, monitoring, incident response, performance, cloud cost.
