Agentic software delivery
Cloud-based agent workflows that turn scoped tickets into reviewable, tested branches, without lowering the bar on code quality.
Available 1–2 days a week
Hands-on fullstack engineer and Head of Engineering in Amsterdam. Seventeen years of turning ambitious ideas into production software, with a strong preference for simple systems and fewer moving parts.
01 — What I do
Cloud-based agent workflows that turn scoped tickets into reviewable, tested branches, without lowering the bar on code quality.
Multi-region, multi-tenant platforms with authentication and observability built in. Built to stay cheap to run and boring to operate.
Complex synchronisation across distributors, PSAs and CRMs, data-heavy applications, and migrations that leave the system simpler than before.
I own what happens after the merge: CI/CD, infrastructure, monitoring and incident response, plus the ongoing work on performance, cloud cost and security reviews.
02 — How my teams ship
I designed and built a cloud-based agent harness at Salesbuildr. Engineers hand a scoped ticket to an agent, and every safeguard the team relies on stays in the loop. Smaller tickets now go from specification to reviewable implementation with very little manual coding.
An engineer comments on a Jira ticket; a bot launches a cloud agent.
The agent applies repository rules and skills to learn the codebase.
It implements the change, then runs linting, unit and E2E tests.
Branch pushed to GitHub; CircleCI runs with Nx Cloud caching.
An isolated Azure Container Apps preview, ready for peers and stakeholders.
Documentation, internal and public, stays current along the way, right down to the answers our Slack bot gives.
04 — Experience
Lead Developer 2019 — 2024 · Head of Engineering since October 2024
Trained and supported the internal frontend team in building a NativeScript app to replace the existing native mobile apps.
NativeScript application development for a New York–based client.
Grew from Lead UI to Development Team Lead on a fast, cloud-based platform for the fashion industry, then stayed on as a senior consultant. Front-end work in AngularJS, Angular and NativeScript, and also involved in the .NET backend, Elasticsearch and the DevOps side of the platform.
My first full-time developer job. PHP backends in CodeCharge and Symfony (both the legacy and the modern generation), informational sites in TYPO3, and front-ends in Knockout, Backbone and early AngularJS.
A side job during my studies, and where coding first became work.
05 — A different route in
A non-traditional path, but not a late start: I was hooked on computers at eight and writing code not long after. I kept coding all through my degree, and made it my job once I’d graduated. The languages still shape how I work: precise with words, curious about systems, and comfortable translating between people who think very differently.
06 — Off the clock
Winter sports are how I switch off. Cold air, fresh snow, a sky like this one, and absolutely nothing to deploy.
Open to new work
I’m available 1–2 days a week for temporary or part-time assignments: web applications, AI-assisted development workflows, architecture and hands-on technical delivery.
